Snow melter maintenance

Snow-melting tanks & machines:
inspection, repair and pipe cleaning

"The water flow is weak." "The snow doesn't fully melt." As well specialists, we check snow-melting systems that use well water end to end, from the well pump to the pipes and spray heads. Just send us photos and videos for an estimate. Sapporo, Kitahiroshima and all of Hokkaido.

01

Do you have any of these symptoms?

Weak water flow

The flow has dropped year after year. Often, iron from the well water (iron scale) has built up inside the pipes and hoses.

Snow left unmelted

Causes can include clogged spray heads, not enough water, or one side being weak.

Pump stops or keeps running

We inspect the well pump, pressure switch and check valve for faults.

Freezing & leaks

We check for damaged heat tape or insulation and leaks at the joints.

Not sure who to ask

Well-water snow-melting systems are jobs that both plumbers and well drillers tend to turn down.

Wells in long-term use

Systems used for 20 or 30 years can change noticeably after a single inspection and cleaning.

A real case

A business in Sapporo. For two years they consulted plumbers and well drillers but could not find anyone willing to take the job. We cleaned the pipes from the inside without digging them up and restored the water flow in the snow-melting tank.

Inspection & repair process

  1. Send photos & videos Through the inquiry form or LINE, send us photos of the well pump, pipes and snow-melting tank, and a video of how the water flows.
  2. Estimate & discussion Based on the photos and videos, we propose the work, and we decide the cost together after discussion, including inspection and checks of each part.
  3. Confirming the order Once you are satisfied with the details, we set the schedule.
  4. Record before work First, we measure how long it takes to fill one bucket and record on video how water comes out of the snow-melting tank's spray heads.
  5. On-site repair Disassemble and check inside → clean → replace only the parts that need it. The work takes about 1 to 2 days.
  6. Check after cleaning We measure the bucket time again and you compare the water flow in the snow-melting tank with the record from before the work.
  7. Payment We bill after the work is finished.

About pricing

Snow-melting systems differ completely from site to site in age, pipe material and length, and how they are clogged. For that reason,we give individual estimates after seeing photos and videos.

DetailsPricing
Inspection, cleaning & part replacementEstimated as an all-in work fee based on photos and videos
Around Sapporo and KitahiroshimaIncluded in the estimate
Distant areas (other than above)Base fee + travel expenses charged separately

Please understand in advance

Old pipes:If PVC or other pipes have deteriorated, cleaning alone may not fix them and replacement may be needed.

Old well pumps:If the pump is old, the load of cleaning can cause it to fail. For pumps that have been in service many years, we will consult you before starting work.

Contact us before the snow

Parts are charged at cost. Since work may not be possible after snow has piled up, we recommend contacting us before the snow comes.

Because we drill wells, we understand well plumbing

We are often on site and unable to answer the phone, so the inquiry form or LINE is the most reliable way to reach us. Select "Snow-melting tank inspection & repair" in the form to attach photos.
